DCM tuning
Delphi DCM3 / DCM6 / DCM7 — the 2005-present generation that powered Renault, Dacia, Nissan, Mercedes Benz, Opel Vauxhall and others. Full tuning support in Softechpro V5.
Family overview
Delphi DCM is the Delphi (formerly GM/Delphi) diesel ECU family used primarily on Renault K9K / M9R, Dacia, Nissan Note / Juke 1.5 dCi, Mercedes OM607 (Citan / Renault-derived Mercedes vans). DCM3.x is the older 2005-2012 generation; DCM6.2 is the modern Renault dCi standard since ~2012; DCM7.x is the post-2018 generation with stricter integrity checks. Simpler checksum format than Bosch (trailing 32-bit sum) but otherwise similar tuning workflow.
| Era | 2005-present |
|---|---|
| Protocol | CAN UDS |
| Security | Trailing 32-bit sum + per-page CRC |
| Typical bin size | 512 KB / 1 MB |
Variants supported
9 DCM variants in our calibration catalog. Softechpro V5 auto-identifies the firmware revision from the header signature when you drop the .bin onto the workspace.
How to read and flash a DCM
CAN UDS via KESS3, AutoTuner, MPPS V22. Standard Delphi sum checksum.

Workshop workflow
- Read the DCM ECU via CAN UDS using your flasher of choice.
- Open Softechpro V5 and drag the .bin / .ori / .hex / .s19 / .frf onto the workspace. The DCM variant is auto-detected.
- Select the service from the tab (DTC OFF / EGR OFF / DPF OFF / AdBlue OFF / Stage 1-3).
- Save patched .bin — Delphi trailing sum is recomputed automatically.
- Flash via your existing flasher. Adaptation reset on the OEM scan tool if required (typical on AdBlue OFF and IMMO OFF).
