SIMOS tuning
Siemens / Continental SIMOS — the 2002-present generation that powered Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda and others. Full tuning support in Softechpro V5.
Family overview
SIMOS is the Siemens (now Continental) gasoline ECU primarily used on VAG TFSI / FSI applications. Variants: SIMOS 7.1 (Audi A3 8P 1.6 FSI), SIMOS 8.x (VW Golf VI GTI 2.0 TFSI), SIMOS 10 (Skoda Octavia VRS 2.0 TFSI), SIMOS 12 (Golf VII GTI early), SIMOS 18.1 / 18.10 (Golf VII GTI / R late, Audi RS3 5-cyl). Multi-page hash checksum makes calibration patching slightly more involved than Bosch CRC32 but is well-supported by Softechpro.

Workshop workflow
- Read the SIMOS ECU via CAN UDS using your flasher of choice.
- Open Softechpro V5 and drag the .bin / .ori / .hex / .s19 / .frf onto the workspace. The SIMOS variant is auto-detected.
- Select the service from the tab (DTC OFF / EGR OFF / DPF OFF / AdBlue OFF / Stage 1-3).
- Save patched .bin — Siemens multi-page hash is recomputed automatically.
- Flash via your existing flasher. Adaptation reset on the OEM scan tool if required (typical on AdBlue OFF and IMMO OFF).
