Bosch ME7 is the legacy port-injection gasoline ECU family. The original chip-tuning ECU. Variants include ME7.5 (Audi/VW 1.8T), ME7.1.1 (VAG 3.2 V6), ME7.5.10 (VAG 1.8T 2002+), ME7.6.2 (Opel Z20LET), ME7.8 (Porsche 996 GT3), ME9 (BMW N52 / N54 early). A massive community knowledge base exists; thousands of legacy calibrations published online.

Workshop workflow

  1. Read the ME7 ECU via K-Line / KWP2000 using your flasher of choice.
  2. Open Softechpro V5 and drag the .bin / .ori / .hex / .s19 / .frf onto the workspace. The ME7 variant is auto-detected.
  3. Select the service from the tab (DTC OFF / EGR OFF / DPF OFF / AdBlue OFF / Stage 1-3).
  4. Save patched .bin — Bosch outer CRC is recomputed automatically.
  5. Flash via your existing flasher. Adaptation reset on the OEM scan tool if required (typical on AdBlue OFF and IMMO OFF).
