Weight Distribution Calculator

Front/rear and left/right balance from corner weights.

How it works

1

Weigh each corner

Use corner-weight scales for all four wheels, in kg.

2

Calculate

We total the weight and work out the balance percentages.

3

Read the balance

Front/rear and left/right balance, plus the cross weight that affects handling.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good weight distribution?

50/50 front-to-rear is ideal for balanced handling, though many front-engined cars sit around 55/45 to 60/40. Left/right should be as close to even as possible.

What is cross weight?

The diagonal balance (front-left plus rear-right vs the other diagonal). Around 50% cross weight keeps the car handling the same in left and right corners.
