Convert torque and RPM into power (hp / kW / PS) — or power back into torque.
Power only exists at an RPM — torque alone is not power.
We compute power in hp, kW and PS, and show the torque in both Nm and lb-ft.
Enter a power figure and RPM to find the torque it represents.
hp = torque(lb-ft) × RPM ÷ 5252. In metric, kW = torque(Nm) × RPM ÷ 9549. The tool handles both units automatically.
Because hp = lb-ft × RPM ÷ 5252 — at exactly 5252 rpm the two numbers are equal, which is why dyno graphs always intersect there.
1 Nm = 0.7376 lb-ft. The result panel shows torque in both units.
The desktop Softechpro Solutions software corrects checksums for 260+ ECU families and does DPF/EGR/AdBlue/DTC off, Stage tuning and DTC diagnostics offline.
