Standalone ECU / Engine Management
The Vi-PEC i88 is a high-feature wire-in standalone ECU, part of the Vi-PEC i-series that shared its platform with Link's G4/G4+ generation. It offers eight-plus injector and ignition drives for full sequential operation on engines up to eight cylinders (rotary supported too), closed-loop lambda, electronic boost control, dual VVT/cam control, and comprehensive motorsport functions such as launch control, anti-lag, traction and flat-shift. Tuning is done in PCLink over USB, with onboard logging and configurable CAN. It was widely used on turbocharged Japanese platforms — Nissan RB/SR, Toyota 2JZ, Subaru EJ and rotary engines — in both street and race builds. As a standalone, the i88 replaces the OEM ECU entirely.
The i88 is a wire-in standalone that removes the factory ECU; Softechpro is a reflash/DTC-off and Stage toolset for OEM firmware with automatic checksum correction. Different disciplines — Softechpro handles the factory-ECU side of a shop's workload.
