Immo & Key Programming
The MJD Tool works with the Magneti Marelli MJD (MultiJet Diesel) family of ECUs — variants such as MJD 6F3, 6JF, 8F2/8F3 — fitted to Fiat-group diesels and shared with Opel, Suzuki, Ford, Jeep and Saab MultiJet engines. It reads and writes the ECU's EEPROM and flash to recover the immobilizer PIN, disable the immobilizer, clone an original unit onto a replacement, or repair a bricked module. Depending on generation the work is done over OBD or on the bench. Users are diesel ECU repair specialists and locksmiths handling failed controllers, lost keys and theft recovery. Because these ECUs are widespread across many brands, correct memory handling and checksum integrity are important so the replacement or repaired unit starts and runs without warning lights.
Softechpro does not do immo-off or key programming, so it complements the MJD Tool rather than replacing it. Because MJD is a common diesel platform, Softechpro can apply EGR/DPF/DTC-off modules and auto-correct the checksum on supported MJD firmwares once you have the read.
