FUEL TYPE · PETROL TURBO
Petrol tuning
Modern petrol turbo engines respond strongly to chip tuning. OEM calibrations leave moderate software headroom — less than diesel because the customer is already paying for performance — but Stage 1 typically returns +15-20% HP, and Stage 2 with intake + downpipe returns +30-35%.
Why petrol turbo tuning responds the way it does
Petrol turbo calibrations close to the safety margin on stock hardware. Headroom is modest — the bigger Stage 2/3 gains come from removing exhaust restriction (downpipe) and increasing airflow (intake + intercooler).
Services applied on petrol turbo tuning
Stage 1 is software-only and a great first step. Stage 2 adds intake + downpipe for +30%. Stage 3 needs turbo upgrade and fuel system mods. Pop & Bang adds the signature overrun crackle on cars with sports exhaust.
