A DTC-off calibration disables selected diagnostic trouble codes in the ECU so a known, intentional change (like an emissions or hardware delete) doesn't trigger the engine light or limp mode. It targets specific codes rather than blanking everything, keeping unrelated diagnostics working. It's the finishing step after most delete/hardware changes.
