OEM Diagnostic
ODIS (Offboard Diagnostic Information System) is the Volkswagen Group factory dealer diagnostic and programming platform covering VW, Audi, SEAT, Škoda and related brands. It comes in ODIS Service (workshop diagnostics) and ODIS Engineering (development) variants. It performs guided fault finding, DTC read/clear, output and actuator tests, adaptations and basic settings, module coding/parameterization, and online ECU flashing via software version management (SVM). It connects through a VAS 5054/6154 interface or an approved passthru. Dealers and independent VAG specialists use ODIS for control-unit replacement coding, campaign software updates and deep diagnostics across MQB/MLB and older PQ platforms. Online functions and flashing require GeKo/online access to VW's servers. ODIS replaced the earlier VAS-PC software.
ODIS handles VAG read/write, coding and online flashing; Softechpro complements it on the calibration side, editing the extracted Bosch/Siemens/Temic engine file for DPF/EGR/AdBlue/DTC-off and Stage tuning with automatic checksum correction.
