OEM Diagnostic
VAS-PC is the older Volkswagen Group factory diagnostic software that preceded ODIS. Running on VAS diagnostic hardware such as the VAS 5051/5052/5054, it provides guided fault finding, DTC reading and clearing, actuator/output tests, adaptations, basic settings, coding and flash programming for VW, Audi, SEAT and Škoda vehicles of its era — broadly PQ-platform and early MQB models. Independent VAG specialists kept VAS-PC for older chassis where ODIS coverage or workflow was less convenient. It uses the Guided Fault Finding (GFF) and Guided Functions approach with brand, model and engine selection. As VW moved to ODIS Service and Engineering, VAS-PC was retired for new models but remains a reference for legacy VAG diagnostics and coding.
VAS-PC covers VAG on-car diagnostics and flashing for older models; Softechpro sits downstream, editing the extracted engine calibration to apply emissions/DTC-off modules and correct the checksum before reflashing.
