MPPS V23 is one of the newer builds of the MPPS ECU programmer, continuing the OBD-focused read/write workflow for European diesel and petrol control units. It targets Bosch EDC15/EDC16/EDC17 and Siemens/Continental ECUs with limited bench/boot support, and is used to back up stock files, write modified maps and manage checksums. Because the MPPS range is heavily cloned, V23 units differ in stability and exact vehicle coverage, so tuners verify reads and keep originals before writing. It suits budget-minded hobbyists and small shops; modern Tricore-based ECUs are only partially supported depending on the specific hardware and software build.
