BCM / Body / Gateway Tool
A BSI Tool works with the PSA (Peugeot/Citroen, later Stellantis) Body Systems Interface — the central body computer that manages the immobilizer, comfort functions, lighting and network gateway. It reads and writes BSI configuration and EEPROM to program keys, perform immo/PIN operations, virginize or clone a BSI, correct configuration after a module swap, and align the BSI with the engine ECU. Work is done over OBD or on the bench for locked or damaged units. Typical users are auto locksmiths and body-electronics repairers handling lost keys, water-damaged BSIs, or replacement modules on Peugeot and Citroen vehicles. Because the BSI is the security hub of the car, accurate configuration and correct pairing with the ECU are essential for the vehicle to start and its systems to work.
Softechpro focuses on engine-ECU tuning and diagnostics and does not program BSI body computers, so it does not replace the BSI Tool. On PSA vehicles a shop would use the BSI Tool for body/immo work and Softechpro separately for DTC-off and emissions edits on the engine ECU.
