ECU Editor / Map Editor
Universal Patcher 1.0 denotes the earlier generation of the open-source Universal Patcher tuning software for GM and Ford powertrain controllers. It established the tool's core workflow of XML-definition table editing, J2534 read/write, and calibration patching, used by the domestic-tuning community to modify fuel, spark, torque and transmission maps and to apply operating-system or feature patches. As a community project, the 1.x-era builds covered a defined set of controllers and definitions that later versions extended. Tuners still reference the 1.x line for compatibility with certain definition files and controllers. Functionally it is the same read-edit-flash-patch suite, at an earlier point in its development. Exact supported controllers depend on the installed definitions.
The 1.x Universal Patcher line targets GM/Ford domestic tuning outside Softechpro's core European Bosch/Continental coverage. Both nonetheless follow the same principle that an edited calibration needs a valid checksum before flashing.
