ECU Editor / Map Editor
TPROT Unlocker targets Bosch 'T-PROT' tuning protection, the security layer on ECUs such as EDC16, EDC17, ME9, MED9 and MED17 that blocks writing of protected map areas over the OBD port. With T-PROT active (levels commonly referenced as TPROT1 through TPROT11), a tuner can read and flash freely-accessible regions but the ECU rejects changes to the protected calibration. A TPROT unlocker patches the relevant protection bytes — usually applied on the bench or via boot access — so the ECU accepts a full OBD read/write afterwards, making in-car flashing of the whole map possible. It is a well-known step in VAG-group diesel and petrol tuning. Correct checksum handling is still required after any calibration change.
Once T-PROT is unlocked and you can read/write the ECU, Softechpro Solutions can apply supported tuning, emissions and DTC-off modules to the dump and correct the checksum automatically. Softechpro handles the file, not the unlocking or flashing.
