OEM Diagnostic
Tech2Win is a PC software emulator that reproduces the classic GM Tech2 handheld scan tool on a Windows laptop. Paired with a GM MDI/MDI2 or compatible passthru instead of the original Tech2 hardware, it provides the familiar Tech2 interface for diagnostics on older GM vehicles — reading and clearing DTCs, live data, actuator tests, and functions like theft relearn, crankshaft variation relearn and module setup on GMLAN/Class 2 platforms. Independent GM, Opel/Vauxhall, Holden and Saab specialists use Tech2Win to service pre-Global-A vehicles without owning a physical Tech2. It runs inside GM's TIS2Web/GDS environment and complements GDS2, which covers newer architectures. Programming is still performed via SPS/SPS2 rather than Tech2Win.
Tech2Win emulates GM's on-car scan tool; Softechpro is unrelated to on-car diagnostics and instead edits the extracted engine calibration for emissions/DTC-off modules and Stage tuning with automatic checksum correction.
