OEM Diagnostic
SSM (Subaru Select Monitor, versions SSM3/SSM4) is Subaru's official dealer diagnostic system. Running on a PC with a Subaru SSM interface or J2534 device, it reads and clears DTCs, displays and logs live sensor data, runs actuator and functional tests, performs ECU reprogramming with Subaru calibration files, and handles immobiliser and module configuration across Subaru models. Enthusiasts also value SSM's data logging for engine parameters. It covers legacy select-monitor vehicles through modern CAN-based Subarus and is the reference tool for genuine Subaru software updates, immobiliser operations and warranty-level diagnostics.
Softechpro edits the calibration content offline with checksum correction; SSM remains what you'd use for OEM reflashing, immobiliser work and clearing codes on the car after the file is modified.
