ECU Editor / Map Editor
"Subaru ECU Edit" refers to the class of calibration and map-editing tools used to modify Subaru engine control units, most notably the open-source RomRaider editor combined with definition (XML) files and Tactrix EcuFlash for reading and flashing. These tools expose fuel, ignition, boost, cam timing and limiter tables inside Subaru Denso/Hitachi ROMs, letting tuners adjust maps and correlate with logged data. Subaru's well-documented ROM definitions make its platforms among the most community-supported for editing. A typical workflow reads the ROM via EcuFlash/OpenPort, edits tables in a map editor, then flashes the modified image while correcting checksums as required.
Softechpro is a broader multi-brand editor that auto-applies DPF/EGR/DTC-off and Stage modules with automatic checksum correction; for deep table-level Subaru tuning, dedicated definition-based editors give finer manual control.
