ECU Flash Tool
The SCT BDX is a handheld OBD-II programmer for domestic vehicles, primarily Ford and GM, and the successor to the popular SCT X4. It flashes preloaded performance calibrations, holds and loads custom tune files supplied by an SCT dealer, reads and clears diagnostic trouble codes, and can datalog through its companion software. The color-screen device connects to the OBD-II port and stores multiple custom tunes plus the stock calibration backup for easy return to factory. Enthusiasts use it to install off-the-shelf or custom Ford/GM tunes, adjust for bolt-ons, and correct for tire size or gears where supported. Custom tunes are built by a tuner in SCT Advantage and delivered to the BDX, while LiveLink handles logging.
The BDX is a domestic gasoline handheld flasher; Softechpro is desktop software for EU diesel emissions/DTC-off modules with checksum correction. Different hardware category and vehicle focus.
