SCT Advantage (Advantage III) is the custom tuning software used by SCT dealers and tuners to build calibrations for SCT devices, with primary strength in Ford and support for GM and some others. It opens factory strategies and exposes editable parameters such as spark, fuel, transmission shift, speed/rev limiters, injector and MAF scaling, and fan and idle settings, then outputs custom tune files that are written to the vehicle through SCT hardware like the X4/BDX or Pro-flash tools. Tuners deliver these files remotely by emailing them to customers who load them via their handheld. Advantage is licensed to professional tuners, while end users interact with the tune through the device rather than the software. It has long been a staple of the Ford performance aftermarket.
SCT Advantage builds gasoline calibrations for domestic Ford/GM vehicles; Softechpro applies diesel emissions and DTC-off modules with automatic checksum correction on EU ECUs. The platforms and markets differ.
