OEM Diagnostic
PIWIS (Porsche Integrated Workshop Information System) is Porsche's factory dealer diagnostic and programming platform. It performs guided fault diagnosis, reads and clears DTCs across all control units, runs actuator tests and service functions, codes and configures modules, and flashes ECUs. It connects to the vehicle through a dedicated Porsche tester (PIWIS Tester II or III) and integrates workshop repair information. Dealers and independent Porsche specialists use it for control-unit programming, feature coding, campaign updates and diagnostics across 911, Cayenne, Panamera, Macan, Boxster/Cayman and Taycan platforms. Online programming and certain coding functions require Porsche's PPN online access. PIWIS is the reference OEM tool for deep Porsche work, including guided troubleshooting that generic scanners cannot match.
PIWIS handles Porsche read/write, coding and flashing; Softechpro is complementary and file-based, editing the extracted Bosch/Continental engine calibration for emissions/DTC-off modules and Stage tuning with automatic checksum correction.
