OEM Diagnostic
PIWIS III (PIWIS Tester III) is the current-generation Porsche factory diagnostic and programming system, replacing PIWIS Tester II. It runs the latest PIWIS software and supports DoIP/Ethernet diagnostics required by modern Porsche platforms such as the 992-generation 911, current Cayenne/Panamera and the electric Taycan, while retaining coverage of older models. It performs guided fault diagnosis, DTC read/clear, actuations, module coding and adaptation, and online ECU flash programming through Porsche's servers. Dealers and well-equipped independents use PIWIS III for campaign updates, control-unit replacement programming and feature coding that the older tester or generic tools cannot handle. Many advanced functions and software updates require Porsche PPN online access and current subscriptions to complete a session.
PIWIS III is Porsche's newest OEM diagnostic and flashing hardware; Softechpro is a separate software layer that edits an extracted engine calibration for emissions/DTC-off modules and Stage tuning with automatic checksum correction.
