ECU Flash Tool
The MPerformance Tuning Tool name refers to ECU flashing/tuning oriented around BMW M and M Performance vehicles. Note that BMW's official M Performance is a parts and accessory sub-brand; consumer engine reflash tuning for these cars is generally provided by third-party tools such as MHD, bootmod3 or MG Flasher rather than an official BMW app. A tool under this name would connect to the DME over OBD or on the bench to load performance calibrations, raising boost and adjusting fuel, ignition and limiters on BMW M-platform engines, and would require correct checksums when writing modified files. Buyers should verify the exact vendor, supported engines and licensing before use.
Softechpro automates emissions and DTC-off modules with checksum correction across a broad firmware catalog and is not a BMW M-specific performance flasher. On such petrol platforms it plays a complementary role and does not perform the OBD flash.
