ECU Flash Tool
bootmod3 (BM3) is a cloud-based flash-tuning platform for BMW developed by ProTuningFreaks. A licensed vehicle connects through a supported OBD-II Wi-Fi flash adapter and the desktop/mobile agent, and calibrations are stored and delivered from the cloud. It offers off-the-shelf staged maps and full custom tuning by BM3-supported tuners, with in-app datalogging, map switching and fault-code reading. It supports a wide range of BMW engines including N13, N20/N26, N54, N55, S55, B46/B48, B58, S58 and N63/S63 V8s. Custom tunes are uploaded to the user's online garage and flashed on demand. It is popular for its flexible cloud and custom-tune workflow.
bootmod3 is a BMW-specific cloud flashing ecosystem, while Softechpro operates directly on firmware files with automated DPF/EGR/AdBlue/DTC-off modules and checksum correction across many brands. The two serve different scopes and BM3's adapter performs the ECU read/write.
