MHD S55 is the MHD Flasher solution for BMW's S55 twin-turbo engine in the F80 M3, F82/F83 M4 and M2 Competition. Using a phone and OBD-II adapter it flashes the S55 DME with off-the-shelf stage maps tailored to fuel (pump, ethanol blends, race), loads custom tuner calibrations, and provides map switching, live gauges, logging and fault-code functions without a laptop. It is a popular choice for S55 owners seeking meaningful gains and often pairs with upgraded fueling or turbos and with xHP transmission tuning for the ZF/DCT gearbox. Gains scale with hardware and fuel quality.
Softechpro's automated emissions and DTC-off modules and checksum engine target a broad diesel and petrol firmware base rather than a single M-car engine, so it complements, and does not replace, an S55-specific flasher. MHD does the DME read/write.
