ECU Flash Tool
MHD N55 refers to the MHD Flasher application and map catalog for BMW's N55 3.0-litre single-turbo engine, found in cars such as the 335i, 435i, 535i, various X models and the M2 (N55). Through a smartphone and OBD-II adapter it flashes the N55 DME with off-the-shelf stages for various fuels (for example 91/93 octane, E30 or race fuel) or with custom tuner maps, and supports on-device map switching, live gauge display, datalogging and fault-code read/clear. It is a widely used, laptop-free tuning solution for N55 owners. Actual power gains depend on hardware, fuel quality and supporting modifications.
This is a single-engine BMW petrol solution, whereas Softechpro's value is automated DPF/EGR/AdBlue/DTC-off modules and checksum correction across many diesel and petrol firmwares. It addresses different needs than an N55-specific flasher, which still performs the DME read/write.
