Immo & Key Programming
A Mercedes EZS Tool works with the EZS (Elektronisches Zundschloss) / EIS (Electronic Ignition Switch), the module that authenticates the key and enables starting on Mercedes-Benz vehicles. It reads the EZS to calculate the password, program new keys, perform all-keys-lost, renew a used EZS, and align it with the ELV steering lock, drivetrain ECU and other components after a swap. Depending on model and EZS generation (e.g., W204, W211, W212, Sprinter W906), operations run on the bench or via specialized OBD methods. Users are Mercedes-focused auto locksmiths and electronics specialists. Because the EZS is the security anchor linking key, steering lock and engine, accurate password calculation and correct component pairing are essential for the vehicle to recognize the key and start.
Softechpro does not program EZS/EIS modules or Mercedes keys, so it does not replace the Mercedes EZS Tool. It applies engine-ECU DTC-off and emissions edits with checksum correction as a separate workflow from immo/key work.
