OEM Diagnostic
DAS (Diagnosis Assistance System) is the older Mercedes-Benz factory diagnostic application that preceded and later ran alongside Xentry within the Star Diagnosis system. It provides control-unit diagnostics, DTC reading and clearing, actuations, adaptations and guided tests across older Mercedes models, and supports coding and flash routines on those platforms. DAS is typically used for W203/W211/W220-era and similar vehicles where Xentry's newer flows are not required, connecting via a Star Diagnosis C3/C4 multiplexer. Independent Mercedes specialists keep DAS available for legacy chassis diagnostics and control-unit work. It is more menu-driven than the guided workflow of modern Xentry, and remains part of the same Star Diagnosis software family, usually installed together as "Xentry/DAS" on a workshop laptop.
DAS covers Mercedes on-car diagnostics and coding for older chassis; Softechpro complements it on the calibration side, editing the extracted engine file to apply emissions/DTC-off modules with automatic checksum correction.
