Standalone ECU / Engine Management
TunerStudio, developed by EFI Analytics, is the de facto tuning software for MegaSquirt standalone ECUs and many other MS/Speeduino-compatible controllers. Tuners connect over serial/USB to edit VE, fuel and spark tables, configure sensors and outputs, and adjust idle, boost, acceleration enrichment and closed-loop settings, with real-time gauges and tuning. Its companion, MegaLogViewer, handles deeper log analysis, while TunerStudio itself supports live datalogging and auto-tuning aids like VE Analyze. MegaSquirt is a long-standing DIY-friendly standalone platform used for engine swaps and performance builds, and TunerStudio's flexible, INI-driven design lets it support a broad range of firmware. It tunes standalone aftermarket ECUs directly rather than reflashing OEM firmware.
TunerStudio tunes DIY/standalone MegaSquirt-class ECUs that replace the factory unit, unlike Softechpro which edits OEM firmware; they cover opposite ends of the tuning spectrum and complement rather than compete.
