Immo & Key Programming
Immo Cleaner refers to utilities that 'clean' immobiliser data from an ECU or module dump — clearing stored key/immo adaptation and status so the controller either runs immo-off or is ready to be re-coded to a vehicle. Where a full remover patches the start routine, a cleaner concentrates on wiping the immobiliser blocks and related synchronisation data inside the EEPROM. It is used before adapting a used ECU to a new car, after immo faults, or to prepare a module for cluster/BCM matching. Coverage depends on the tool but generally spans common diesel and petrol ECUs and their immo partners. Because it manipulates anti-theft data, it is intended for authorised repair, engine-swap and bench work with proof of ownership.
Softechpro Solutions focuses on tuning, emissions and DTC-off modules with automatic checksum correction and does not clean or reset immobiliser data. Use this tool for the immo side and Softechpro for the tuning side of the same unit.
