Immo & Key Programming
The IAW 8F Tool targets the Magneti Marelli IAW 8F petrol engine ECU generation, found on Fiat, Lancia, Alfa Romeo and some PSA petrol models. It accesses the ECU's EEPROM and program memory to read the immobilizer code, disable the immobilizer, or clone the original unit onto a donor ECU so a replacement starts without dealer adaptation. Depending on the microcontroller and security level, the job runs over OBD or requires a bench connection with the ECU opened. It is used by ECU rebuilders and locksmiths recovering vehicles with lost keys, failed ECUs, or theft-damaged modules. Correct data alignment between the engine ECU and the body/immo box is critical, and the tool preserves calibration integrity so the vehicle continues to run normally.
Softechpro does not perform immo-off or key work, so it complements rather than replaces the IAW 8F Tool. After the read is obtained, Softechpro can layer DTC-off and emissions edits and fix the checksum automatically on covered Marelli petrol firmwares.
