Immo & Key Programming
The IAW 6F Tool addresses the Magneti Marelli IAW 6F petrol ECU, an earlier-generation controller used on Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia petrol engines. It reads the ECU's EEPROM to recover the immobilizer code, carry out immo-off, or clone the original module onto a replacement so the vehicle starts without dealer intervention. On this generation many operations are done on the bench with direct memory access. Typical users are ECU rebuilders and locksmiths dealing with dead controllers, lost keys, or theft recovery on older Fiat-group vehicles. Because the immobilizer function is tied to the engine ECU on these cars, the tool prioritizes accurate EEPROM read/write and correct data pairing with the body computer, keeping the calibration and checksum intact so the engine runs correctly afterward.
Softechpro handles tuning and diagnostics, not immobilizer or key programming, so it does not replace the IAW 6F Tool. It fits alongside it, adding DTC-off/emissions modules and automatic checksum correction on supported Marelli firmwares after the read.
