HP Tuners VCM Editor

ECU Editor / Map EditorHP TunersWindows + MPVI interface

VCM Editor is the calibration-editing side of HP Tuners' VCM Suite. It reads the factory calibration from supported powertrain and transmission controllers, exposes thousands of parameters, and writes the modified tune back through an MPVI interface. Editable areas include fuel, spark, boost, VE tables, torque management, transmission shift schedules, fan and idle control, and speed and rev limiters. It has particularly deep GM coverage (LS/LT, Duramax) plus Ford, Dodge/Ram, and other makes, with licensing consumed per vehicle. Tuners pair it with VCM Scanner to log and verify changes. VCM Editor is a mainstay for North American dyno shops and DIY tuners building forced-induction, cam, and E85 combinations, offering fine control over both engine and automatic transmission behavior.

What HP Tuners VCM Editor is used for

Where Softechpro fits

VCM Editor edits domestic gasoline (and Duramax) calibrations table by table; Softechpro instead applies pre-built diesel emissions/DTC-off modules with automatic checksum recalculation across EU ECUs. They target different platforms and can complement each other.
