Standalone ECU / Engine Management
FTManager 4.0 denotes a major-version release of FuelTech's FTManager tuning software for its FT-series standalone ECUs. It retains FTManager's core role — building and editing fuel and ignition maps, configuring sensors, outputs, boost, nitrous and drag-racing features, and analysing datalogs — while updating the interface and workflow of the platform. Tuners develop calibrations on a PC that mirror the ECU's on-unit touchscreen, then transfer them to units such as the FT450, FT550, FT600 or FT700. As with all FTManager versions, it targets FuelTech's own hardware rather than OEM vehicle ECUs and unifies calibration, hardware setup and log analysis in one tuner-focused application.
FTManager 4.0 tunes FuelTech standalone hardware, while Softechpro edits OEM firmware — separate ecosystems that complement each other in shops handling both standalone conversions and factory-ECU tuning.
