Standalone ECU / Engine Management
The FT450 is FuelTech's compact standalone engine-management ECU, positioned as the entry point in the FT range. It offers full sequential fuel and ignition control, a built-in colour display, wideband O2 input, boost control and datalogging in a single unit, and is tuned through FuelTech's FTManager software or directly on-screen. The FT450 is widely used in street-performance, drag and circuit builds where a programmable ECU replaces the factory unit, and shares FuelTech's ecosystem of peripherals and interfaces. It supports common forced-induction and multi-cylinder setups within its I/O limits. As a standalone aftermarket ECU it manages the engine directly rather than reflashing an OEM control unit.
The FT450 is an aftermarket ECU that replaces the factory unit, so it sits outside Softechpro's scope of editing OEM firmware; the two suit different customers — standalone conversions versus factory-ECU tuning.
