Aftermarket Diagnostic Scanner
FORScan is a specialized diagnostic and configuration software for Ford, Mazda, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles. Running on Windows (with lighter Android/iOS versions) and communicating through ELM327 or, preferably, OBDLink adapters, it exposes far more than generic OBD2: full-system DTC read/clear, live data and logging, PID monitoring, bi-directional service functions, and — its signature capability — reading and editing module "As-Built" configuration to enable or change features on BdyCM, IPC, APIM, ABS, and other modules. Enthusiasts use it to enable hidden options, add retrofitted modules, program keys on supported models, and perform maintenance like ABS bleeding or injector programming. It is the go-to affordable alternative to Ford's dealer tools for owners and independents. Some advanced writes require an inexpensive extended license.
FORScan edits module configuration and As-Built data over OBD; Softechpro Solutions works at the ECU firmware level for DPF/EGR/DTC-off modules and Stage tuning with checksum correction, a different task from FORScan's feature coding.
