ECU Flash Tool
FlashScan is EFILive's dedicated hardware interface that connects a laptop to the vehicle's OBD-II port to read, reflash, and datalog supported ECUs and TCMs. It works hand-in-hand with EFILive's Scan and Tune software and is central to GM gasoline (LS/LT) and Duramax diesel work, with newer generations broadening coverage. FlashScan can operate in pass-through mode with the PC connected, and in a standalone black-box mode to log or flash pre-loaded tunes without a laptop. Tuners also use it to program AutoCal units for customers. Available in V2 and the newer V3 generations, it supports high-speed CAN logging. FlashScan is licensed to its owner, and tunes and logging are tied to the device.
FlashScan is proprietary flashing and logging hardware for the EFILive GM ecosystem; Softechpro is software for EU diesel emissions modules and checksum correction. They are complementary only in the broad sense of serving diesel shops.
