ECU Editor / Map Editor
The Tune Tool is the calibration-editing component of EFILive's Windows software, where the actual map editing happens, as opposed to the Scan Tool used for datalogging. It opens a read calibration and exposes the editable tables for supported GM gasoline and Duramax diesel controllers, including injection timing and quantity, rail pressure, boost, torque management, DPF/regeneration parameters on diesels, and transmission shift logic. Edited tunes are written back to the ECU through FlashScan or AutoCal hardware. Tuners use the Tune Tool to build performance and towing calibrations, and can apply tune locking before distributing files to customers. It is part of the same package as EFILive's scanning side, and the two are used together to edit and then validate a calibration.
The EFILive Tune Tool edits GM/Duramax calibrations table by table; Softechpro instead auto-applies pre-built diesel emissions/DTC-off modules and corrects checksums across many EU firmwares. Different editing philosophy and vehicle scope.
