Standalone ECU / Engine Management
The EMU Black software is the Windows client used to configure and tune ECUMASTER's EMU Black standalone engine-management unit. Tuners connect over USB to edit fuel and ignition maps, set up injectors and coils, configure sensors and outputs, and calibrate closed-loop lambda, boost, idle, launch control, flat-shift and other strategies, with built-in high-speed datalogging for analysis. The EMU Black is a popular mid-range standalone ECU for engine swaps and performance builds, offering more I/O and drive capability than the base EMU, and integrates with ECUMASTER peripherals like the ADU dash and CAN modules. The software targets the EMU Black hardware directly and replaces or supplements the factory ECU rather than reflashing OEM firmware.
The EMU Black is an aftermarket standalone ECU, so its software addresses different hardware than Softechpro, which tunes the OEM ECU's firmware; the two are complementary options for different build types.
