The Bully Dog GT (GT Gas and GT Diesel Platinum) is a handheld tuner and color-screen gauge monitor for domestic trucks and SUVs, covering Ford, GM, and Dodge/Ram gas and diesel applications. It flashes preloaded power levels (economy, tow, performance), displays live parameters and driving data on configurable gauges, includes features like a driving coach for fuel economy, and reads and clears diagnostic trouble codes. On diesels it can monitor EGT and other channels relevant to towing safety. The device stores the factory calibration for return to stock and is aimed at truck owners rather than professional tuners. Bully Dog is part of the Powerteq/Holley group. Custom tuning on some platforms is possible through Bully Dog's custom-tune ecosystem loaded onto the device.
The Bully Dog GT is a domestic handheld tuner/monitor; Softechpro is EU-diesel-focused emissions and checksum software. They cover different vehicles and are not substitutes.
