Bully Dog Custom Tuning refers to the brand's custom calibration files and the associated software/device workflow that lets tuners deliver vehicle-specific tunes beyond the preloaded power levels. On supported domestic gas and diesel platforms, a dealer or tuner builds a custom calibration and loads it onto a Bully Dog device (such as the GT or BDX-family handhelds), where the owner installs it via OBD-II. Custom tunes can account for specific modifications, fuel types, and towing needs that off-the-shelf levels do not address. The device retains the stock calibration for return to factory. This custom pathway sits on top of Bully Dog's consumer preloaded-tune ecosystem and is managed through their update/download software. Coverage and editable parameters depend on the platform and device.
Bully Dog custom tuning delivers domestic-platform tunes through its own hardware, whereas Softechpro auto-applies EU diesel emissions/DTC-off modules with checksum correction as desktop software. The ecosystems differ.
