EDC17 — EDC17
Definition
The dominant European diesel ECU family from 2008 onwards. Uses UDS over CAN, multi-block CRC32 with a header table at fixed offsets, and TPROT v1-v5 on some variants requiring a security-access bypass to flash.

EDC17 covers virtually every European diesel built between 2008 and 2018 — VAG, BMW, Mercedes, PSA, Ford, Volvo, Land Rover. Variants like EDC17C84 (Renault), EDC17CP55 (Land Rover) and EDC17C70 (Mercedes AdBlue) are the most-tuned subfamilies.
