Definition
Bosch MED17 (2003-2018) is the direct-injection gasoline equivalent of EDC17. Variants include MED17.5 (VAG TSI), MED17.9.21 (Hyundai/Kia T-GDI), MED17.7 (BMW N20), MED17.5.21 (Audi RS / Porsche).
Why workshops care
Every modern petrol turbo (TSI, TFSI, N20, B58 — when not MG1) runs MED17. Stage 1/2/3 maps target the MED17 boost / fuel / timing tables. Same CRC32 + TPROT structure as EDC17.
