A MAF delete converts the ECU to run without the mass-airflow sensor — using manifold pressure (speed density) or throttle-based (alpha-N) load — to cure a failing MAF, suit a modified intake, or remove a restriction. The load model and its diagnostics are re-referenced so there are no MAF faults. A calibration change tied to the intake setup.
