OEM Diagnostic
YDT (Yamaha Diagnostic Tool) is Yamaha's official dealer diagnostic application for its fuel-injected motorcycles, scooters, ATVs and, in related tools, marine engines. Using the Yamaha diagnostic cable/coupler, it reads and clears diagnostic codes, monitors live ECU data (TPS, injectors, O2, temperatures), runs actuator and diagnostic-mode tests, and performs service and CO/idle adjustments on supported models. Yamaha technicians rely on it for EFI driveability diagnosis and post-service verification. It is model-database driven, matching each Yamaha ECU's parameters, and covers a broad range of Yamaha powersports and marine products.
Softechpro is focused on automotive ECU file tuning and emissions/DTC-off work, so it does not replace YDT; Yamaha bike and marine diagnostics remain YDT's domain.
