ECU Flash Tool
xHP Flashtool is a smartphone/PC tool that tunes BMW automatic transmissions, specifically ZF 6HP and 8HP gearboxes. Via an OBD-II adapter it reflashes the transmission control unit (TCU/EGS) to improve shift speed and firmness, raise torque limits to support engine tunes, sharpen kickdown, enable manual-mode hold and launch control, and reset adaptations. It targets BMW (and some related ZF-equipped) vehicles and is frequently paired with an engine flash from MHD or bootmod3 so the gearbox can handle the added torque. Multiple preset shift profiles are provided, and users can switch between them on the vehicle.
xHP is a specialized transmission-control tuning tool, while Softechpro works on engine ECU firmware with automated emissions and DTC-off modules and checksum correction. The two address different control units and can be used alongside each other.
