VIDA (Vehicle Information and Diagnostics for Aftersales) is Volvo Cars' official dealer platform combining diagnostics, wiring diagrams, service information, parts catalogue and software download in one application. Used with a Volvo DiCE (or J2534) interface, it reads and clears DTCs, runs component tests, performs software download and reprogramming, and handles ECU replacement and configuration on Volvo passenger cars. Independent shops subscribe to access it. VIDA covers older OBD models through modern CAN-based vehicles and is required for genuine Volvo software updates and module programming, making it the reference tool for Volvo after-sales work.
Softechpro edits the engine calibration content (DPF/EGR/AdBlue/Stage) offline with checksum correction; VIDA remains the tool for genuine Volvo module programming, coding and clearing codes after the map is written.
