ECU Flash Tool
P3Tool is an aftermarket flashing utility aimed at Volvo's P3-platform vehicles (such as the S60/V60/XC60/S80/V70 of that generation) and their Denso-based engine control units. It is used by tuners to read out the ECU calibration over OBD, write modified files back, and manage the security and checksum handling specific to those Volvo ECUs so that edited maps flash cleanly. Because Volvo P3 ECUs use particular seed/key and checksum schemes, dedicated tooling simplifies otherwise awkward read/write access. Users typically combine it with a separate map editor to make the actual calibration changes before flashing.
