Vector CANoe is a comprehensive development, simulation and testing environment for ECUs and vehicle communication networks. Beyond the analysis features of CANalyzer, it can simulate missing ECUs (remaining-bus simulation), model network behavior, run automated test sequences and validate diagnostics across CAN, CAN FD, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet and MOST. Engineers use CAPL and the Test Feature Set to build reproducible test cases for functional, integration and regression testing, and connect via Vector VN hardware to real ECUs. CANoe is used throughout OEM and Tier-1 development for verifying communication, diagnostics (UDS) and system behavior. It is manufacturer-agnostic, driven by the project's DBC/ARXML/ODX databases rather than any specific vehicle.
CANoe is an OEM-grade network simulation and test platform, unrelated to offline firmware editing. Softechpro works on ECU images and their modules/checksums, so it neither overlaps with nor competes against CANoe's development-and-test role.
