ECU Flash Tool
VCP Flash is the ECU and control-module flashing component of the VAG CAN PROFESSIONAL system. It writes firmware and calibration data to Volkswagen Group control units, engine, transmission and various body modules, using VAG flash routines over CAN and DoIP. Specialists use it to update module software, recover modules, perform component replacement and programming and, where applicable, write modified engine calibrations to Audi, VW, SEAT and Skoda ECUs. As part of the VCP platform it benefits from the interface's security-access handling. Being a flashing tool, VCP Flash manages the write process and checksums for supported operations; the calibration changes themselves are usually prepared beforehand in a dedicated map editor. It runs on Windows and requires the VCP interface.
VCP Flash writes the firmware to VAG modules; Softechpro prepares that firmware, applying DPF/EGR/AdBlue/DTC-off modules and correcting checksums for supported files, beforehand. Softechpro is the file-side step; VCP Flash performs the actual write.
